MEDIATION
Extending an olive branch is a timeless symbol of goodwill and the desire for peace. Mediation embodies that same principle—a structured, respectful way to navigate conflict and help people move from disagreement toward understanding and cooperation.

Mediation sessions provide a neutral and impartial space for open, respectful dialogue—where each person can speak freely, be heard, and work toward mutual understanding. This environment encourages honest conversation and helps build trust, even in difficult situations.

Mediation can be a valuable alternative to court, where a judge makes decisions for the parties involved. It is often more cost-effective, collaborative and allows participants to reach resolutions that feel fair and meaningful—while ensuring everyone’s voice is heard.
As a mediator, my role is not to determine who is right or wrong, but to help participants move from conflict toward cooperation, understanding, and peace. Through guided discussion, I help clarify misunderstandings, identify goals and explore practical solutions that work for everyone involved.

Mediation can be especially helpful for families or co-parents seeking to improve communication and reach mutually agreeable solutions. Children thrive in loving, stable homes with both parents present, yet circumstances sometimes arise in which parents are unable to live together peacefully. In these situations, when parents have chosen to live apart, I help parents thoughtfully create custody agreements, child support arrangements, and co-parenting plans that promote stability, cooperation and support children’s overall well-being.

Beyond family matters, mediation can also help resolve a wide range of interpersonal conflicts. I assist parties in finding amicable agreements while avoiding the stress and expense of going to court. Common situations include landlord–tenant issues, neighbor disputes, workplace conflicts, and disagreements with contractors. My goal is to foster open communication and help participants work toward cooperative, constructive resolutions.
Mediation services are available virtually or at a neutral office location in Virginia Beach, VA.
